To Parents

I work with parents because I know that supporting them means the best, most enduring support for whole families.

As a parent, I know time is of the essence. I love helping families find clarity in the (pivotal) moment they find themselves in by helping them navigate the landscape of social services whether it be for a new mental health diagnosis, symptoms of anxiety, trauma, addictions, school avoidance, abuse, communication breakdown, etc.

Often parents ask for help navigating communication and support with framing dialogues for success with their child, youth, or young adult. It is my pleasure to partner with families from a strengths-based perspective.

In one of my favourite roles, I had the chance privilege of working with transitional-aged youth who were involved with the youth justice system at the same time as exiting the child welfare system. These youth opened my eyes to the importance of a supportive network and safety net to help kids navigate their way into adulthood.

I share this because I know the work of parenting is so important and can be so emotional, rewarding, raw, intense, overwhelming, [fill in the blank here].

If I can help you navigate the next step for your family, please get in touch.

What Other Parents Have Said:

“Rachel has been an amazing resource for us as we have parented our kids through the teen years and some pretty hard stuff. She was able to give helpful guidance and point us in the right direction for resources. She also met all of our fears with wisdom, kindness and respect. Never once did I feel judged for not knowing how to help my kids. Don’t hesitate to connect with her!”

“Rachel met with me during one of the hardest times in my parenting journey. I love how she made herself available in a timely fashion when issues were happening in real-time. She was the perfect blend of reassuring, validating, comforting, and pragmatic. She offered concrete next steps when I felt frantic for solutions and handled a very complex situation with ease and a sense of all the layers at play. She was a master at asking questions in order to soothe my pain, and then to guide my family out of the crises. Her combination of knowledge and a soft place to land is rare and unique.”
